Gilgamesh's personality is heavily influenced by the era into which she is summoned. The world, her property, of Fate/stay night was sullied by the consumption society of the early 2000s, so she was in a worse mood overall. She has taken a liking to the virtual world of 2032, so her personality is more stable and closer to how it was during life. She still displays her normal self-centered traits, but Nasu wished to show that there is more to her character than that. She has no particular interest in the events within SE.RA.PH, and decides to simply do as she pleases. This later changes when she personally declared that the fight against BB has also become her battle.Gilgamesh likes to tease her Master, and she even goes as far to ask the female version "Who is the man you want to be held by?" for entertainment. She believes that there can be nothing else between a man and a woman. She restricts it to the Student Council members, but she will be annoyed if she is chosen instead. She takes it as a given that she is already the obvious choice, so it is useless in staving off boredom. She says it was unavoidable due to being exposed to her aura at such proximity and forgives her, but also completely rejects her, mentioning that she is four thousand years too early for her. She prefers "a noble maiden", "a virgin", and "a flower that blooms in the plain" was her type during her childhood. She is often referred to as AUO, based on the Japanese pronunciation of King of Heroes (英雄王, Eiyū-Ō).She believes that she has no weakness and has no faults. the multiverse is an unmistakeably chaotic realm which would have affected gilgamesh's personality for the worst, had it not been for its diversity and unprecedented access to advanced and futuristic technology at everyone's behest. furthermore, the people she has met, for the most part, had played a role in mellowing her personality as well - particularly her involvement with a certain vampire queen, snow komori, whose own personal and emotional values rubbed off on her and made the hubristic king of heroes grow more tolerant and accepting of audience. in addition to that, she met a man called monkey d. luffy who so impertinently nose-dived into her world metaphorically and kept her company. his joyous way of life, ambitious outlook and child-like passion pumped her with fondness, raising her hopes in the sense that there is still a glimmer of hope when it comes to a humanity that toiled endlessly for a cause.
